Agentic Editing
Collaborate with agents at 120fps in a natively multiplayer IDE.
Words from early adopters
Fast, Unobtrusive, and Effective
I came from vim, and Zed is the Rust-powered code editor I’ve been waiting for. I love to dictate prompts to various LLMs and get notified when their work is ready to review. I got so much better at code review!

By integrating editor capabilities into their agents, Zed agents delivered complete features while also preserving my project's coding standards – and as everything else the Zed team does, it was incredibly fast at it

Zed's Vim mode is the best I’ve used so far and when the Agent was launched, I had to try it. It perfectly fits Zed's philosophy of doing the best in the simplest form. It's not shouting at me, but is there when I need it. It does its job and stays standby until the next time.
Fatih Arslan
Software Engineer
It's better than anything else I've tried — the context building is smart and well-designed. I'm impressed.

Using Agentic editing with Zed and Amazon Bedrock means I can tackle any problem, in any language, fearlessly.

I’ve spent 10 years as a Pycharm user waiting for another IDE to use, nothing came close. I’m a month into use Zed and I’m a complete convert, it’s beautiful, fast and flexible. At the same time, Zed has replaced Claude Code as my default coding agent.

Zed’s new ‘Agent Mode’ beta is here, and it’s a <coding/> BEAST! Blazing speed (my fave thing about Zed) makes those sluggish VSCode forks look like they’re stuck in 1979. Ditch the wannabes and dive into the future of coding with Zed’s slick agentic powers.

incidentally, @zeddotdev’s new edit prediction model is really magical, because it predicts “edits” rather than “new code”. if you start changing one element in a repeated structure, it will predict the same edit to every other element in that structure, which is wonderful
